Castlemont Elementary School

Principal's Message

Ms. Prindle shares details of upcoming testing and events.

Hello Castlemont Families,

Can you believe it is almost May? Our Talent Show was held last Friday and then we had student assemblies today. Thank you to our dedicated student performers and the outstanding staff who created the production. As we turn toward the last weeks of school, I would like to share news about upcoming events and special days.

Today, Tuesday, April 25th, is the first day of state testing for 3rd - 5th grade students. Please help us by:

  • Being on time
  • Not checking your student out of school during the testing periods. We will not be able to interrupt classes that are testing.

  • If you have questions about any of the state tests, your student’s academic performance, or your ability to opt your student out of CAASPP assessments, please contact me.

This Thursday, April 27th from 6:00-7:30 pm in our Multi-Use room, the Silicon Valley Sponsoring Committee will be holding a community safety meeting. Please join us to share your experience with neighborhood safety. Help us develop a strategy to address the safety concerns in our community. Your participation and input are important.

Our Spring Carnival is approaching! Mark your calendar for May 19th from 4:00-8:00pm. There will be carnival games, bounce houses, food trucks, baked goods, and a silent auction.  We are always looking for additional family volunteers to help. For more information,  contact Castlemont parent/event organizer Sean St. Cin at sean.stcin [at] gmail.com
