Our next Spirit Theme Day is scheduled for Wednesday, December 20th. Please remind your student(s) to come dressed all in one color. The class in grades TK-2 and 3-5 with the highest participation receive popsicles and have the honor of Danny the Dragon in their rooms for the entire month. |

We are very happy to report that we have a new gate for students to enter on Payne Avenue. It is very close to the crosswalk at Greenbriar Avenue. The old gate in the Staff Parking Lot will remain open as well. When coming to and from school, please remember to always use the crosswalks! |

Tamale Tuesday is back starting Tuesday, December 5th. Chicken, veggie, and pork flavors are available for $2 each or $10 for 6. Sales location will be outside the Staff break room. Additional locations will be available based on volunteers. Pre-orders are available and must be made by 5pm on Friday the week before by texting or calling Cristina Gonzalez at (408)603-8689. Get your holiday shopping done and raise money for Castlemont! Scrip is just another way to pay for everyday purchases using gift cards in place of cash, checks, and credit cards. Families can purchase these gift cards through Castlemont HSC for a wide variety of merchants including grocers, gas stations, retail stores and restaurants. These merchants agree to donate a percentage of the money spent back to our school; percentages range from 1% to 20%, depending on the merchant. |

With the help of our dedicated volunteers, we were able to get over 1,700 books into the hands of Castlemont students and their families! Thanks to all the families who gave donations for the All for Books program, the fair was able to sponsor TWO $6.00 book vouchers per classroom. The vouchers were given to students who may not have been able to get books from the Book Fair otherwise! It's a wonderful way to support our students development and curiosity. |
