Thank You! The book fair coordinators would like to thank all the families and friends who volunteered, shopped, and baked for our Fall Book Fair Events! Your contributions to this event helped make this event a success! With all your help, the HSC is able to get books into the hands of the students and foster a life long love of reading.

We hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving Holiday and enjoy a very merry holiday season!

“Caughtcha” Cards - PBIS November 5, 2015 - 4:23pm

Castlemont recognizes that to promote academic achievement, students must also be supported in their social development. Therefore, we have implemented the Positive Behavior Intervention Support (PBIS) program. This is a structure that is maintained by the school district so that children have the necessary social support systems in place that in turn help to support them academically.

Every Minute at School is Important November 5, 2015 - 4:21pm

Over the years we have learned that classroom seat time leads to academic success, which is why we want every child in class every day. As much as possible, appointments need to be made after school hours. If you must make an appointment during the school day, please bring your child to school in the morning and then check out your child at the office later in the day before the appointment.

Underpants and Pants needed November 6, 2015 - 2:15pm

Our Health Office is seeking donations of underpants (especially girls new and used) and children’s pants (sizes 5-12). Pants with elastic waistbands are especially preferred. Please bring your donations to the office. Thank you.

Read a Book, Change a Life! November 6, 2015 - 2:24pm

Become an ABC Reader in your child's classroom (K-5)!

By volunteering just two to three hours per month, our Asset Building Champions build relationships with young people by reading selected books and leading classroom activities and discussions with a focus on respect, tolerance, peaceful conflict resolution, caring and friendship. Children learn what to do if they encounter bully behaviors and how to become an UPstander.
