Castlemont's Special Recognitions

Congratulations to Ms. Jisung Chong, this year’s Teacher of the Year! Ms. Chong teaches 2nd grade and has continued to demonstrate what it takes to be an exemplary teacher. Her devotion to her students and the school are unsurpassed. Her peers, students, and the greater Castlemont community respect her considerably. We are very proud of Ms. Chong, our Teacher of the Year.

Our Classified Employee of the Year is Mrs. Jane Reiter. She is one of our Educational Associates and Yard Duty staff. Mrs. Reiter always has a smile on her face and sees the good in everyone. She will go above and beyond to get to know the children and they love her for it. Her positive personality makes her the special person that she is. Congratulations to Mrs. Reiter, our Classified Employee of the Year.

Our Volunteer of the Year is Ms. Julie Portales. A fixture on the Castlemont campus, Ms. Portales is beloved by all. She has dedicated many hours to the school as a volunteer parent and community member. Her loyalty to the school and students, warm sense of humor, and caring personality are what make her so special. Congratulations Ms. Portales as this year’s Volunteer of the Year!
