Castlemont Elementary School

Leadership Changes for 2019-20 Announced

Message from the Superintendent

Dear Castlemont Families,

Educating students to their highest potential is job one for all of us in Campbell Union School District. As we work toward successfully completing this school year, we also are looking ahead at how to provide the best support to students in the next school year.

When school begins on August 22nd, Castlemont will have a new administrative team, as Principal Brown and Assistant Principal McAvoy have accepted these leadership positions at Monroe Middle School. Castlemont’s new Principal will be Kristen Prindle, who currently is Assistant Principal at Rolling Hills Middle School. We will begin a search to find a new Castlemont Assistant Principal to join her in the upcoming school year.

Ms. Prindle brings 14 years of experience as a school administrator and educator. She is a skilled communicator and advocate for educating students to their highest potential and is highly regarded by staff, students and families.

We believe this change will create a strong and effective team committed to continuing the great programs for Castlemont’s students, staff and families and preparing our future graduates for the challenges of their yet-to-be-defined futures.

Sincerely,

Shelly Viramontez, Ed.D., Superintendent
