Rutherford’s Read-A-Thon Is Coming

Parents, did you know that the World Famous Castlemont Library has a dragon watching over it? We do!! His name is Rutherford. He will be hosting a Read-A-Thon for all Castlemont students. The information for this Read-A-Thon will be in your child’s white Monday envelope on October 24th. The Read-A-Thon will run for 3 weeks. Your child will get sponsors (family, friends, and neighbors) to pledge money for each book read during the 3 week time frame or pledge a flat rate. After the 3 weeks your child will collect the pledges and complete the log and pledge sheets and bring them to their teachers. The money collected will help to update the nonfiction, Spanish, and fiction areas of the Library. They will also be used to purchase 3-4 Chromebooks for student use in the Library.
