Castlemont Elementary School

Special Bike Event Wednesday, March 23

We want to see more students and parents riding their bikes to school! We know bikes need a lot of maintenance and that’s why we’ve invited the BikeMobile to provide Free Tune Ups for all parents, students and teachers at our school! Last year’s event was very popular, so be sure to turn in your sign-up sheets quickly.

If your bike or your child’s bike is making one of those mystery sounds or collecting dust because it has a flat tire, bring it to school on Wednesday, March 23. The BikeMobile can fix flat tires, adjust brakes and gears, and even replace broken or worn out parts like chains, seats, and tires. The only thing it can’t do is replace missing wheels or gears. While the mechanics work on your bike they’ll explain how it works and how to keep it running smooth. Space is limited, so please show up early to secure a spot. Bike or no bike, everyone is welcome to attend to learn about maintenance, safety, and more!

The Bay Area BikeMobile is a Spare the Air youth program funded by the Metropolitan Transportation Commission and the Bay Area Air Quality Management District. The program is implemented by Local Motion.
