School Site Council Interest and Nomination Form

We are currently looking for two parents representatives for our School Site Council.

We are looking for two Castlemont parents/guardians to serve as representatives on our School Site Council (SSC). The SSC is responsible for approving our School Safety Plan and for giving important input into our Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP). One of our representatives should be a parent/guardian who can represent the interests of our English Language Learner students. 

• Absolutely no experience is necessary! 
• Time Commitment --  One hour 4 times per school year. (One additional meeting is possible)
• Where do we meet?  You are welcome to join the principal in the library OR join meetings via Zoom. 
• What time?  All meetings are held from 3:00-4:00 pm, typically on Tuesdays. 
• What do I need to do next?  Fill out this form and you will be put on the ballot. We will open the online election on September 14th. 
• Will there be snacks?  If you join Kristen in the library, there will be treats.

Estamos buscando a dos padres/madres/tutores de Castlemont para servir como representantes en nuestro Consejo Escolar del Plantel (SSC). El SSC es responsable de aprobar nuestro Plan de Seguridad Escolar y de dar aportes importantes a nuestro Plan de Control Local y Rendición de Cuentas (LCAP). Uno de nuestros representantes debe ser un padre/madre/tutor que pueda representar los intereses de nuestros estudiantes que están aprendiendo inglés.

• ¡No se necesita absolutamente ninguna experiencia!
• Compromiso de tiempo – Una hora, 4 veces durante el año escolar. (Es posible una reunión adicional).
• ¿Dónde nos reunimos?Puede acompañar a la directora en biblioteca o unirse a las reuniones por Zoom.
• ¿A qué hora?Todas las reuniones se realizan de 3:00 a 4:00 p. m., típicamente los martes.
• ¿Qué necesito hacer ahora? Complete este formulario y será incluido/a en la boleta. Abriremos la elección en línea el 14 de septiembre.
• ¿Habrá refrigerios? Si se une a Kristen en la biblioteca, habrá bocadillos.
