Castlemont Elementary School

Castlemont Welcomes New Administrators

Welcome Principal Kristen Kimoto Prindle and Assistant Principal Edith Mancera de González

“Building resilient bridges between home, school, and our local community is an area of focus for me,” said Castlemont’s new Principal Kristen Kimoto Prindle (pictured, back row, wearing red). “I believe that success for every student starts with a strong sense of belonging and connection to our school community.”

Her education career spans 15 years, including 10 years as a teacher in Moreland School District, four years as Assistant Principal at Rolling Hills Middle School, and now begins her first year as Principal here at Castlemont. She and her family live in south Santa Clara County.

Joining her is new Assistant Principal Edith Mancera de González (pictured far right). “It truly takes a village to educate a child, and relationships are key to learning,” she said. “If we reach a child’s heart, soul and mind, we become more than educators. We become agents of change.”

Mancera de González, a former Principal in Alum Rock School District, has 14 years in dual immersion education and experience in teaching at the elementary and middle school levels. She and her family live in San Jose.
