Andrea Chinbong
My journey began at Castlemont in 1998, evolving into a dynamic, rewarding adventure teaching grades 1, 2, and 4 over the years. I have also had the privilege of mentoring numerous student teachers in the past, but currently as a life long learner, I'm focused on enhancing my own classroom teaching tools and helping to organize community events for our school.
I hold a B.A. in Sociology from UC Irvine and earned my teaching credential and M.A. in Education & Administration from San Jose State University. Beyond the classroom, my husband and I are busy with our teen twins' activities, and I enjoy taking Peloton classes, watching Bay Area sports teams, and reading during my spare time.
It has been inspiring to help students grow and mature socially and academically, nurturing them into kind, respectful, and responsible citizens. The connections I've made within the Castlemont community are truly lasting, and I am thankful to be part of such a wonderful collaborative environment.
