Parents, we understand that on a rare occasion you might need to drop off something for your child. But, please help us to avoid interruptions in the classrooms. Here’s how you can help:

  • Make a checklist by your front door: does your child have his/her backpack, lunch, homework, jacket, glasses, plan for after-school pick-up, etc.?
  • If your child is eating a lunch from home, please send it with your child. Avoid bringing lunches to the school during the school day.
  • If you drop homework off during the school day, we only put it in the teacher’s box. The teacher will probably not see it until the next day.
  • Make your plans for afterschool pickup and tell your child the plans before school.

Thank you so much for your help avoiding disruptions in the classrooms.

Get in the groove by rockin’ your fluorescents and bust a move on over to the Castlemont Multi-Use Room for a Totally 80’s Family Dance on Friday, February 1st, 6-8 pm. Pre-ordered tickets are $8 each and will not be sold at the door. Only 300 tickets are available, so order early! All children must be accompanied by a parent. This is a teacher sponsored fundraiser to raise money for the classroom. Come rock your 80’s apparel and join us for an evening of some rad fun!  It would also be totally awesome if you could donate cans of soda for our concession sales (Coke, 7 Up, Root Beer). Donations are due to the office by January 31st. Thanks for your help!

Clothes Bin

As you are cleaning out for a fresh start to your new year, don't forget to bring your recyclable clothing, shoes, etc. to our Castlemont bin. Funds collected from your donations benefit our students!

The Castlemont Home and School Club and Clothes Bin are partnering to collect and recycle old clothing, shoes and textiles. So please do not throw them away. Every pound of recycled items supports our school! You can place the following in the bin: clothing, footwear, undergarments, hats, belts, purses, wallets, and linens. Just place the items in the bin which is located in front of school near the office parking lot.
