Our Charleston Wrap fundraiser is drawing to a close! All orders need to be turned in this Tuesday, September 26th. The prize table to redeem “Items Sold” coupons will be outside Dragon’s Den after school on Friday, September 22nd, and Tuesday, September 26th. If coupons were turned in to the office or to teachers, prizes will be delivered to your child’s classroom. This is the last weekend to reach out to family, friends, neighbors and co-workers. Look for the collection sheet in last week's Monday Envelope, and be sure to turn in those Box Tops! You can earn cash for Castlemont by clipping the Official Box Tops for Education "Box Tops" from the packages of hundreds of purchased participating products. Third, Fourth and Fifth Grade student artists will learn a variety of art during an after-school class taught by artist Nancy Meyer. She will teach students different types of art as they create their own projects along the way. The class will be taught on six Tuesdays beginning November 7 from 2:35 to 3:35. A variety of flavors of frozen yogurt will be sold by Yogurtland at Castlemont near Room 37 on Wednesday, September 20. Twenty five percent of the sales supports the Home and School Club. See you there!
Castlemont teachers and students have been working very hard these past 3 weeks discussing, demonstrating, and role playing what the 3Rs look like and sound like in all areas of the school campus. Our 3Rs are part of our Positive Behavior, Intervention, and Supports (PBIS) program. We ask that our parents continue the talk of respect, responsibility, and right to be safe at home in order for our students to hear a common message. Caughtcha Cards are handed out to students demonstrating one of our 3Rs and can be used to earn prizes from our prize box, opportunities to participate in water balloon tosses, and many other awards.
