Keeping students healthy is a partnership between school and home.</span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Cornerstones for staying healthy:</span></p> <ul> <li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1"><strong>Frequent handwashing:</strong> <span style="font-weight: 400;">T</span><span style="font-weight: 400;">each and reinforce frequent handwashing with soap and water for at least 20 seconds (the time it takes to sing "Happy Birthday" twice). Key times are after using the restroom, before eating, and immediately upon returning home from school or activities.</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1"><strong>Respiratory Etiquette:</strong><span style="font-weight: 400;"> Teach and reinforce coughing or sneezing into a tissue or the crook of the elbow.
