The Castlemont Home and School Club would like to say a HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who helped make this year’s Under the Sea Jog-A-Thon possible!  The event was a great success and we hope that everyone had a good time.  Without the donations and volunteers, and of course all the children's participation, it would not have been possible.  Also, if you have any late pledges please don't forget to turn them in.

Thank you

A huge thank you goes out to Andreea Singh, Rachelle Licon, and Laurie Saenz for their dedication and service to the Castlemont Community!  These awesome ladies have volunteered countless hours at Castlemont during their children’s/grandchildren’s tenure here.  They could always be found making copies for staff members, working in the library, orchestrating Fall Family Festivals, acting as Treasurer, overseeing fundraisers, book fairs, and many other opportunities whenever they arose.  They have been instrumental in the success of our Home and School Club which provides funding for field trips, assemblies, and many other activities.   The Castlemont Community will be forever grateful.  You will be greatly missed!

Ideas and questions about a new TK–8th-grade school filled the walls at the District's first Community Input Forum. A second forum is planned for June 12.

The community is invited to the District's second Community Input Forum to provide feedback on short- and long-term decisions relating to creating our new school on the Campbell Middle School site. The meeting will be held Monday, June 12, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m., at Campbell Middle School.

The District is seeking ideas and suggestions about elements of the Transformation Team's recommendation, which includes which grades will be enrolled in the school's first few years, the theme for the school, site plans, and more.

Students, families, employees, neighbors—all those who have an interest in development of the school—are welcome.

For more information about the school transformation, contact the District's Public Information Office: 408-341-7254 / contact [at] campbellusd.org

More information is available online on the Transformation web page. (www.campbellusd.org/transformation)

Friday is Castlemont's annual Jog-A-Thon. We're looking forward to seeing you there!

The HSC is still accepting donations towards the Jog-A-Thon t-shirts. The cost of the shirts is $7 each and we would greatly appreciate donations to help off-set the cost.

Also, volunteers are still needed to help on Friday. Without the help of volunteers, the Jog-A-Thon would not be possible. If you haven't signed up, you can still volunteer by checking in at the volunteer table on the large playground. For more information or to volunteer to help with the Jog-A-Thon, you can also email Emily at eloek [at] yahoo.com.
